Welcome new team member
Michelle Kassel joined the Prechter
Bipolar Research team as a Research Assistant in June 2010. She is responsible
for administering the neuropsychological testing. In May of 2010, Michelle
graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Brain,
Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences, and a subconcentration in Latin American
and Caribbean Studies. She has previously worked as a
Research Assistant at the Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience Institute with
Dr. Jill Becker, conducting research involving hormones and behavior. Additionally,
Michelle was a Research Assistant at the Language and Cognitive Architecture
Lab in collaboration with Dr. Rick Lewis, where she conducted psycholinguistic
research involving expectations while reading. She is looking forward
to contributing to the Bipolar Research Project, and feels it will be a valuable
experience in preparation for graduate studies in clinical neuropsychology.
