The newly established Heinz C. Prechter Genes Project at the University of Michigan Depression Center, an independent bipolar repository—the first of its kind in the nation, will be the focus of a reception at the Dearborn Ritz Carlton on Friday, October 14, 2005, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Margot Kidder, actress and producer, will be the special guest for the evening. Ms. Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the movie “Superman,” is currently working on her autobiography and appearing as an outspoken advocate for mental health rights around the country.

Denise Ilitch will serve as Honorary Chairman, and Waltraud E. (Wally) Prechter will host the event for the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Fund.

Attendance at the reception is by invitation only. For more information, please call Leslye Martin at 734-675-2200 or email @
