Welcome new team members
Kyle Burghardt, Pharm.D., is currently a post-graduate research fellow under Vicki Ellingrod, Pharm.D., BCPP, FCCP at the College of Pharmacy. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan in June of 2011. His professional emphasis is focused on the medication aspects of mental illness with an interest in pharmacogenomics and the metabolic implications of medications such as atypical antipsychotics. He will be spending the majority of his time completing clinical work with the Bipolar Team while also working on research projects.
Dennis Wendt, M.S., is a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Michigan. He will be completing a clinical practicum with the Prechter Bipolar Research team for the 2011-12 academic year, with the primary duty of DIGS assessment under the supervision of Kelly Ryan, Ph.D. He recently completed a practicum as a therapist at the University of Michigan Psychological Clinic. His primary research interest is the intersection of evidence-based psychological practice and culturally competent treatment.
Andrea Sullivan, BSN rejoined the Prechter Bipolar Research team as a clinical interviewer as of September 2011. She previously worked with the team as a research associate from 2005 to 2007 before pursuing her nursing degree at the University of Michigan. As a nurse she has worked in multiple settings, including the emergency room. She is enthusiastic about research and hopes it will improve the lives of those living with mental illness.
