Welcome new members of our team
David Marshall, Ph.D. joined the Prechter Bipolar Research Team as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2010. He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, California, and completed his internship in clinical neuropsychology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. His research interests are in the neuropsychological aspects (such as executive functioning and memory) and neuroimaging of mood disorders, including Major Depression and Bipolar Disorder, with a focus on the lifespan and cultural diversity. David will be involved in many aspects of our projects which will include conducting many of the structured interviews for the Longitudinal Study and the Bipolar Schizophrenia Network on Intermediate Phenotypes (B-SNIP) study.
Christine Ribbens Grimm, BA, BSN is re-joining the Prechter Bipolar Research Team after a one year academic leave in which she earned her nursing degree from the University of Michigan. Previous to this, she had worked as a research associate at the Depression Center for two and half years. In addition to her experience with mood disorders, her background includes conducting cognitive and behavioral outcome assessments in children with congenital heart defects within the division of Pediatric Cardiology as well as involvement with various chronic pain projects within the division of Rheumatology. Christine will be serving in the capacity of clinical research coordinator for a variety of projects.
